SCHEDULE UPDATE!

Our music time changed from Monday at 8:20 to Tuesday at 8:20, therefore, I needed to change our mystery reader time to Wednesday at 8:20. Please look for a sign up sheet in your child folder today.

About Me

Hello! My name is Erin Harvey. I am thrilled to be teaching second grade again here at John B. Dey Elementary School. I have twenty + years teaching experience and have had the opportunity to teach many different grade levels and subjects throughout my career. I live in the Great Neck area with my husband and two children. I love art, going to the beach, boating, watching my daughter row for the Cox Crew team and spending time with my family!

I love teaching second grade! Children at this age continue to be curious and eager to learn. They are full of excitement and "Ah ha moments!" I strive to engage each student in subject material through a variety of methods and believe this differentiation helps set them on a path of lifelong learning.

I am excited about being part of the second grade team and I’m looking forward to a fantastic year!
